During this lunar 7th Month, avoid moving into new homes and opening new businesses this month.

Why? It is being considered inauspicious and it brings bad luck to new ventures.

Lunar 7th Month Taboo #03 - Offerings

During this month, you have to take note of the following when making offering:

1. Do not step, kick or make stupid comments on prayer offerings

2. Do not intentionally step or kick burnt ash (leftover from burning offerings)

3. If you are doing offerings downstairs, don't look back when done.

 

4. Do make sure you are doing the offering outside your house and not inside

 

5. Do not take any offerings from altar table

Lunar 7th Month Taboo #02 - No Swimming

DO NOT Go Swimming in this month!

The water spirits had been released and they will roam in any places with water in it. Hence, it is wise not to go swimming during this 7th month.

BUT isn't it dangerous for those swimmers that are participating in the YOG this year which has swimming competition in this month?

Just to share some of the Do's and Don'ts during the lunar 7th month, just in case you don't know, the ghost month will start now

Taboo #01 - No Marriage during this month

Avoid getting married during this month because couples will have bad ending. Some bad ghost may cast a bad spell on couples during their wedding.
